FLOWER COLOR Daisy like flowers with drooping purplish pink petals. The flower center is a copper-colored cone with spines.

NARRATIVE This perennial plant with its purple ray and disk flowers blooms mid-summer on tall brownish green stems. They attract butterflies and hummingbirds. They can easily tolerate a hot summer with little rain. Perfect candidate for a flower border or rock garden. Easy to collect seeds and sow them in the spring or to divide the clumps of a mature plant.
